Vedanta says that within man there is all knowledge – it requires only an awakening and that much is the work of a teacher.
According to Swami Vivekananda –
- We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.
- “I hold every man a traitor who, having been educated at the expense of the poor and downtrodden, pays not the least heed to them”.
The ideal is to impart sound technical knowledge in the field of concrete so that the confidence levels of the Civil Engineers can be increased which may help them to find work or be self-employed to earn their bread and butter.
The centre will humbly try to contribute to the society some form of technical service which can help in nation building.
